We were so pleased to welcome Claire Martinsen of Breckland Orchard to our September meeting.
Mum and entrepreneur, Claire, kindly came along to talk to us about setting up her own soft drinks business from scratch following a demanding career at Mars and the birth of her two children.
Claire’s very own brand of Posh Pop® was borne from her love of her grandmother’s home made lemonade and desire to make modern drinks, free of artificial ingredients, that reminded her of her childhood. It was a pleasure to learn about the hard work and commitment that Claire has put into her business and her desire to work with independent farm shops and cafes instead of large corporates.
We were inspired to hear that despite keeping her business small and working from home, her products now have an international audience from Sweden to Hong Kong to Kuwait and we couldn’t help but share our own advice and tips on expanding her business further!
We were also lucky to try some of Claire’s delicious pop and her new product, Posh Squash® – a range of tasty cordials including Plum and Cherry, Lemon and Mint and Rhubarb and Ginger.
Many thanks to Claire for joining us and providing inspiration for those who already have small businesses or who would like to start their own business, and for sharing such lovely liquid treats!
